Here's some info on how to use the brush and sprays in the EMU Australia care kit.
Brush Guide
- Bristles - The bristles are great for everyday cleaning and help maintain the texture of the suede without damaging it. Use gentle back-and-forth swipes to lift dirt from the suede fibres.
- Eraser (back of the brush) - Best used dry to remove scuffs and surface marks. Use gentle forward swipes, checking after each one to avoid over-rubbing or flattening the suede.
- Rubber teeth (top sides) - Use the rubber teeth to push gently around the stitching if reshaping is needed. For cleaning the soles, use a firm swiping motion to remove built-up grime.
Spray Guide
- Tea Tree Refresher Spray - Refresh the inside of your boots by spraying directly into them to help neutralise odours. If possible, remove the insole and spray it separately for a deeper clean. Always allow to fully air dry before wearing again.
- Rain & Stain Repellent - Helps protect your suede boots from water, stains, and dirt. Make sure your footwear is clean and dry before applying. Hold the spray about 6 inches from the surface and apply in a steady back-and-forth motion, covering the area evenly. Let the boots air dry for 24 hours before wearing.
- Suede Cleaner - Perfect for lifting marks and dirt from suede. Hold the spray 6 inches from the surface and apply in a back-and-forth motion. For best results, spray the entire panel to ensure it dries evenly without leaving water lines. Allow to completely air dry, then brush over the area with your suede brush to restore the texture and finish.
